**The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health (CEH)** is a program of North Richmond Community Health. Uniquely, CEH offers expertise in cultural diversity and health, cultural competence, social marketing, cross-cultural communication and consumer participation and health literacy to organisations across Australia.

The **CEH Project Officer** position manages aspect of projects at CEH as they arise in the Programs and Projects Team. They will work alongside positions attached to specific projects (Long COVID Project Officer, the Alcohol Awareness Project Officer) and other project officers at the direction of the Program and Projects Coordinator.

The Project Officer will support a range of projects that will aim to:

- Increase an agency’s ability to communicate effectively with CALD communities.
- Develop resources targeted at specific CALD communities.
- Support a community to develop its own information resources on health and well-being matters.

**Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Actively contribute to and promote key CEH initiatives and projects.
- Support and develop aspects of projects in the Programs & Projects team.
- Identify project opportunities through participation in networks and collaboration with internal and external programs.
- Prepare accurate, regular and thorough reports as required by funding bodies and management.
- Collaborate actively with the Communications team (newsletters, social media, website), Health Translations team (promote HT) and Capacity-Building team (co-present workshops and webinars) and Multicultural Health & Support Services (project collaboration)
- Contribute to continuous improvement, quality and organisational strategic goals.

**Key Selection Criteria**

Essential qualifications, attributes and skills include, but are not limited to:

- Demonstrated ability and experience in communicating effectively with CALD communities across different cultures and languages.
- Demonstrated ability and experience working with government and funded agencies to deliver effective projects to agencies working with CALD communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of health literacy, access and equity and community development frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in project development, implementation and evaluation in the community and primary health sector: a minimum two years’ experience is necessary.
- Experience undertaking social research (qualitative), including community consultation and desktop reviews.
- Well-developed skills to successfully represent CEH to multicultural and mainstream communities and services.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear messages in plain language.
- Excellent written communication skills
- Collaborative, a team worker
