**Business Manager Operations - Laverty Pathology (Healius)**

- Committed to supporting practitioners by delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic results. Our core laboratory is located in North Ryde, and we have 3 other laboratories across Sydney - based in hospitals - to ensure we can get results back to doctors as soon as possible. In addition, we also have more than 500 collection centres for patients to visit at their convenience. In addition to this, we provide several Workplace Health & Safety testings for commercial clients.**The Role**
- The core purposes of the role are to drive positive change, supporting and aligned with Healius Group strategy while setting and delivering on local strategy to support the strategic pillars of: Operational Excellence, Technology Innovations, People Experience, and Surpassing Service Expectations. Establish and achieve goals in the areas of Finance, People & Culture, accreditation, and compliance - aligned with divisional strategy and initiatives.**Key Responsibilities**
- Leadership of collections and laboratories (excluding central) for Laverty Pathology with a designated area (covering metropolitan and regional locations), including people leadership and the development of high performing teams, ensuring performance delivery against agreed outcomes and operational realignment as required
- Work with the General Manager and other Business Managers to establish frameworks and operating models with the broader Pathology business and support functions to generate efficiencies, then implement these models within Laverty Pathology
- Coordinating and participating in the compilation of budgets and forecasts and presenting them to management for approval
- Collaborate with the Business Manager Revenue (and other designated Commercial Revenue leaders) to implement approved strategies for growth and new businesses / projects, including implementing Pathology products from across the division within Laverty Pathology
- Work with the General Manager to execute strategy and annual operating plans (in line with EBITDA, revenue and gross margin growth and targets).
- Take responsibility for financial planning and budgeting activity to meet the objectives agreed with the General Manager. This includes P&L oversight, budget development, cost adherence and expense forecasting
- Management within policies, guidelines and Delegations of Authority established by Healius Group executive and board.
- Lead and motivate all employees within the designated area to drive alignment, and lift performance.

**Role Competencies**
- Previous experience as a Leader working in a large organisation (within the healthcare sector preferred)
- Relevant tertiary level qualifications, with sound business and financial acumen, and a talent for creative thinking and problem solving
- Demonstrated leadership skills and organisational networking acumen, including effective management of human resources and teams
- Demonstrated hands-on leadership style, adaptable to a changing environment
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build and maintain effective business relationships and networks
- Creating and seizing opportunities to expand into new markets
