- **$140,947 + $158,633 (depending on experience) 11.5% Superannuation**

**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**:
The Manager Residential Waste and Recycling Services is responsible for leading a team of approximately 5 staff. This position is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, direction and people management competencies, with appropriate technical expertise, in order to drive the required business outcomes and services. Client satisfaction with the services provided and cost effectiveness are key to measuring the Teams achievement.

The Manager must work collaboratively with others across the organisation, taking an active role in contributing to the organisation’s imperative of ensuring effective governance, organisational and financial management through instilling effective strategic and business planning, and high standards of financial, asset and people management.

**What you will bring (Selection Criteria)**:

- Strong team player, with the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and sound judgement whilst collaborating and cooperating on decisions and initiatives.
- A record of achievement and innovation in people management and leadership in a dynamic and political environment, and creating an environment focussed on staff engagement, accountability and decision making.
- High level contract and project management skills with the ability to scope and manage activities for major municipal services that are of high quality, timely and meet budget.
- Leadership capability including leading by example and consistently working towards a constructive culture.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities, team cohesion and the ability to effectively manage conflict and under performance.
- Inter-personal, negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to use discretion and judgement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans and associated budgetary and financial management requirements
