Your Opportunity

**As the Sales and Event Coordinator you will**:

- Develop and implement sales plans to drive business to Robina campus, specifically:

- Maximise the commercial use of Robina event centre.
- Promote and sell gym memberships for onsite TQ Fitness facility
- Leverage the sustainability aspects of the campus as a point of difference to build the campus reputation and attract commercial business to the event space.

The role will be located at the brand new TAFE Queensland Gold Coast Robina campus. Leading the way as a sustainable vocational institution in Australia, our Robina campus ensures that sustainability is embedded into every aspect of campus operations including campus design, course curriculum and student life.
The Robina campus is not just a place of learning for our students, but a place for the community to come together. Students will practise their new-found skills, connecting with the local community at our live training facilities including Fitness Centre, Rooftop Restaurant, Coffee Shop and Conference and Banquet Centre.
This position reports to the Director of Faculty, Business, Education, Hospitality and Language (BEHL), TAFE Queensland Gold Coast Region.
This is a Permanent Full Time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at Robina however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Agree, develop and deliver sales targets for Robina Events Centre events and TQ Fitness gym memberships. Track, monitor and report progress.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities, create proposals, upsell and convert event leads to sales.
- Create sales initiatives to promote the venues including but not limited to:
a. working with the F&B team to identify opportunities such as weddings, award dinners, cocktail parties and business meetings that may also leverage Green Fields restaurant facilities
b. developing incentives such as a 'loyalty club'
- Work in conjunction with marketing team to develop holistic sales and marketing plan
- Develop and oversee maintenance of business processes that allow for optimal event organisation
- Ensure agreements are negotiated in line with TAFE Queensland processes and standards as well as ensuring all implementation requirements for sales and marketing initiatives are effectively coordinated.
- Work with the Director of Faculty to ensure that the outlets provide a seamless student experience, providing high quality learning outcomes whilst maintaining commercial viability and an excellent customer experience.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders in order to be aware of each other's priorities and ensure smooth, consistent internal/ external communication as well as seamless exchange of business referrals.
- Research/monitor industry publications to identify business trends and opportunities.
- Liaising with the Corporate and local Marketing teams to ensure website pages and social media pages align with sales strategy.
- Develop and maintain CRM and implement a lead generation and sales recall process.
- Consider the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) in all aspects of management, service delivery sales and event coordination.
- Contribute to and communicate an annual event calendar.
- Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.

How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- Proven success in a sales and events coordinator role with a demonstrated track record in growing revenue.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing marketing campaigns that have contributed to increased revenue and profit margins.
- Proven experience in building and sustaining productive internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- High level communication and negotiation skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Highly Desirable Requirements
