**Job Summary**
- Medical Specialist Receptionist_
We are seeking a medical receptionist for a specialist medical practice aimed at achieving an exceptional level of patient satisfaction and care. We require someone who will be the first point of contact for all patients and visitors. It is imperative that you have the ability to assist with patient enquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner. A positive and proactive attitude, attention to detail and strong work ethic are essential for this role. We are offering a challenging but rewarding role dealing with patients of varied aged groups with serious health conditions.
**Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Front Desk reception - handling of phones, greeting patients, handling enquiries
- Scheduling appointments
- Deal with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously and helpfully
- Ensuring confidentiality and management of patient records
- Proficient and accurate data entry into patient database
- Type, file and post all correspondence
- Billings of outpatient consultations
- Arrange and check theatre lists with hospitals and notify referring doctors if necessary
- Maintaining office stock levels
- Attend to routine cleaning and ensure the consulting rooms are tidy
- Patient relations, both in person and over the telephone and audiotyping abilities

- Ability to work within a team environment as interaction and co-operation with other staff will be necessary
- You will be required to perform your duties predominantly at the Burwood office. You will be on occasion required to attend the offices at Knox Private, Mulgrave Private or elsewhere as reasonably directed by us. Therefore this job requires you to have a car and hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence.
