**About us**

**The Opportunity**

Our Melbourne based Communications & Engagement team is** **currently looking for a **Senior Associate **or** Principal Consultant **with** **specialised knowledge in renewable energy infrastructure.

This new role has been created to deliver our on growing portfolio of renewable projects as well as being accountable for leading and shaping the growth of our engagement and communications expertise within the renewables sector.

The location for this role is hybrid between **Melbourne office and WFH**.

Day to day, you will:

- Provide strategic stakeholder engagement and community engagement expertise to clients and the WSP team
- Lead and support complex, multi-disciplinary engagement processes, specifically for renewable energy projects
- Design and write engagement strategies, prepare stakeholder analyses, best practice benefit sharing initiatives and communication materials
- Revise technical information or complex consultation materials into engaging public documents
- Contribute to overall leadership decisions in the context of planning resources and skills development to deliver against a strong and growing pipeline of work
- Identify new opportunities, contribute to project pursuits, coordinate proposal writing to win tenders and grow the business offering
- Provide overarching review and technical input to projects, with a strong focus on quality

**What we'll love about you**

You are likely to have 10+ years of experience as a communication and engagement professional.

While we see previous consulting experience as highly desirable, experience in state government, oil and gas or Ministerial office is also an advantage.

In addition, you will bring:

- Experience in the renewable sector (solar, onshore/offshore wind, hydrogen, pumped hydro)
- Optimism and energy
- Ability to engage and influence
- An appetite for developing and enhancing relationships, securing growth and future workload through the pursuit and winning of new work
- Team leadership skills
- Formal tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, social sustainability or a related field
- Consulting experience (favourable)
