**The Role**
**Pacific Labour Operations Division Overview**
The Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Scheme (the PALM Scheme) has two key objectives:
- To contribute to the economic development of nine Pacific Island countries (Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu) and Timor-Leste; and
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Duties specific to the **Customer Service Officer** role may include:
- Working in a rostered environment between 8:30am - 6:30pm AEST as the first point of contact for the PALM scheme.
- Undertaking five-hour rotational inbound phone shifts to support the PALM stakeholders.
- Liaising with key stakeholders including PALM workers, PALM Employers, PALM program staff, local community agencies, partner country consular officials including Heads of Mission and Country Liaison Officers.
- Providing quality program advice as required.
- Other duties as required to support the core functions of the PALM program.
Duties specific to the Assessments Officer role may include:
- Assessing PALM Employer requests for reimbursement of travel costs and prepare for delegate decision.
- Administering PALM Deeds, including preparing deeds for execution and required records management duties for storing executed deed.
- Monitoring section mailboxes and escalating issues/enquiries.
- Providing administrative and logístical support for visits and events.
