**Client**: Large Australian Accessories Retailer

We are seeking a Design Assistant to contribute to the development and creation of products for our clients group, aligning with market dynamics, customer preferences, and their brand ethos.

**About the Role**: As a Design Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Design Manager to execute the design strategy across their product range.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting the Design Manager in implementing design strategies for products within the group.
- Collaborating with Buyers and Suppliers to compile design packs for supplier distribution.
- Executing print designs for products, ensuring alignment with brand and company objectives.
- Undertaking graphic design tasks for products within the group.
- Ensuring design concepts meet specified criteria including design brief, target pricing, and quality standards.
- Conducting research to identify trends, colors, and styles for upcoming seasons across all product categories.
- Partnering with the Design Manager to develop seasonal trend reports and design concepts.
- Preparing ad hoc presentations for board meetings and executive reviews.
- Maintaining comprehensive brand knowledge and ensuring all design activities align with brand vision and business goals.

**Key Requirements**:

- Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- 3 years of experience as an assistant/junior designer
- Graphic design expertise, especially in fashion print repeats
- Experience in handbag design ideal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

**Skills**:

- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
- Results-driven and adept at problem-solving
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Collaborative team player open to feedback and adaptable to change.
