Junior Designer

Join SHEIKE this new year as we look to expand our current design team. We are excited to welcome a talented, creative & technical Junior Designer to work alongside the Design team and coordinate all aspects of the design process.
This role will require a strong eye for detail, lots of initiative and the ability to meet deadlines. While working in a team as well as autonomously, this role is for someone with motivation and strong time management skills. You will have a true eye for fashion and great personal sense of style.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Trend research and design concepts across all categories
- Creation of moodboards & lookbooks
- Sketching / CADS in Illustrator
- Coordinate and create new styles, fabrics & trims
- Be involved in fit meetings alongside our Designers and Garment Technician
- Sample room management
- Support the retail team with initiatives such as Style Files
**To be considered for this role you will need to have the following**:
- Previous experience in a similar role such as Junior Designer or Design Assistant
- Tertiary studies in Fashion Design highly regarded
- Good knowledge of garment construction & fitting experience
- Strong understanding of the fashion industry
- Advanced Adobe skills
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
- Strong illustration skills will be highly regarded
