The ORMS Project Delivery Unit is a newly established unit responsible for the effective delivery of complex rehabilitation focused projects. The portfolio consists of four unique, but interrelated projects aimed at re-designing and/or expanding existing rehabilitation services for QCS inclusive of re-entry services, education and Alcohol and Other Drugs programs. These are linked directly to endorsed QCS strategic priorities impacting service delivery to individuals in QCS care in both a custodial and community setting and have a primary focus on service re-design, procurement of outsourced services in alignment with new models and implementation.
The Principal Project Officer, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Programs Re-design will work within the ORMS Project Delivery Unit to re-design the existing AOD programs model, develop strategies and procure new outsourced services in alignment with the new model and ensure effective implementation of new models and services.
In this role you will be required to support the Project Manager with activities focused on the review and re-design and implementation of AOD services and programs including the planning, schedule, monitor and report on activities, ensuring there are appropriate and effective governance arrangements in place, supported by comprehensive reporting on implementation progress. Participate in the procurement of new alcohol and other drugs services and programs for prisoners and offenders. In this role you will develop and monitor systems to identify demand and outcomes achieved from new programs.
Activities within this role with comprise of manage data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and support to ensure high quality service provision. Providing practical support to staff and service providers in relation to the implementation and delivery of best-practice and culturally and gender appropriate AOD programs and services. This role will undertake liaison, consultation, discussion, and negotiation with key internal and external stakeholders to support project and service delivery outcomes including developing a strong working partnership with key custodial, community and ORMS stakeholders.
