**The Principal Project Officer role requires project management and evaluation knowledge, with demonstrated experience in developing evaluation frameworks and establishing and monitoring program governance activities essential to experiencing success in the role. While you will work closely with the Blue Card Services team, as an evaluator, you will work within our Regulatory Support Services branch, contributing to a team that drives project outcomes and initiatives through strategic business planning, risk management, business continuity planning and governance reporting.

This role may include travel to some First Nations communities.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Lead the development and implementation of effective program and project level governance including evaluation frameworks and reporting metrics
- Manage the evaluation activities for the Blue Card Services Liaison Officers pilot project and the Safe children strong communities strategy and action plan, including designing a process for multiple stakeholder input.
- Undertake internal and external stakeholder engagement in a program environment, including representing the Branch in planning and evaluation activities for project and program delivery and lead collaboration to achieve outcomes.
- Prepare briefing material, reports (including governance and performance reporting), publications, presentations, and correspondence.
- Participate in and contribute to the governance and strategic objectives of the Harm Prevention and Regulation division and the Department of Justice.
