**How will I help?**
Sitting in a national team of Health, Safety and Wellbeing professionals, as an Injury Management Consultant at Westpac, you will be responsible for implementing early intervention strategies to minimise injuries and assist in facilitating safe and timely return to work programs for employees who experience work or non-work-related illness or injury.
Westpac has a national approach to Employee Care and Injury Management; thus the role will extend across multiple state jurisdictions supporting our workforce in times of need.
Your role will include
- Collaborating with GP’s and allied health professionals to ensure best practise treatment, is in line with the Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services guidelines and assists to drive positive return to work outcomes.
- Providing holistic and personalised support to suit individual and business circumstances with work and non-work-related injury management support and guidance.
- Providing critical incident support to employees and their People Leaders during traumatic circumstances.
- Supporting Group safety and wellbeing initiatives, including targeted interventions to respond to emerging risks especially in mental health and wellbeingMaintaining the Injury Management system coding with up to date information on work capacity, medical classification (driven by OSHA guidelines) and Lost Time Injury potential

**What do I need?**
We are looking for a talented and caring consultant, with the following skills & experience:
- Allied health experience (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology) qualifications
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- A strong background in supporting employees with mental illness
- Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders from employees to senior managers and medical professionals
- Knowledge of HSW principles including psychosocial risk factorsKnowledge of Workers' Compensation Insurance Legislation
