Coach (Pedagogy) - Primary - Warrigal Road State School

_The Pedagogy Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting teachers at Warrigal Road State School to deliver high-quality literacy instruction aligned with the Sounds-Write program and the science of reading. This position is focused on building teacher capacity, improving student literacy outcomes, and fostering a culture of excellence in reading instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Implementation of the Sounds-Write Program
Embedding the Science of Reading into Pedagogy
Capacity Building and Teacher Support
Monitoring and Improving Student Outcomes
Fostering a Culture of Excellence

Key Capabilities and Requirements:
Demonstrated expertise in teaching literacy and a strong understanding of the science of reading
Certification or extensive training in the Sounds-Write program (or willingness to complete training)
Proven ability to design and deliver professional learning and coaching for teachers
Strong interpersonal skills to build trust, collaborate effectively, and provide constructive feedback
Ability to analyse and interpret student data to inform teaching and learning
Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional growth
Desirable Attributes:
Previous experience in a coaching or mentoring role
Knowledge of Warrigal Road State School's vision, values, and strategic priorities
Flexibility, innovation, and a passion for improving literacy outcomes for all students
