About the Role

The Deputy Principal will have proven strategic experience in capability and capacity building in the context of the school's authentic approach to effective pedagogy.

This requires the Deputy Principal to possess high level communication and interpersonal skills and develop and implement through a collaborative team's leadership a range of strategies to empower Heads of Department and teachers to optimise teaching and learning with precision and impact.

Necessarily the Deputy Principal possesses a high level of data literacy to inform and guide, identify progress in school priorities and student achievement targets, with a view to extending and optimising student outcomes in an already high performing school.

The Deputy Principal will have a repertoire of relational skills to engage others and continue to promote a forward looking and innovative professional culture within the school, quality assure inclusive programs and differentiation as required to target groups.

As part of a larger leadership team, the Deputy Principal will need to demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate, and contribute effectively to collective decision-making processes. This includes taking a shared responsibility for driving whole-school improvement priorities, supporting team members across a diverse range of portfolios, and fostering a culture of trust, respect, and professional growth within the leadership team.

The successful applicant will need to quickly familiarise themselves with the school's operational systems, strategic goals, and day-to-day processes. They will also be expected to lead and oversee multiple portfolios effectively, adapting flexibly to changing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on delivering outcomes aligned with the school's strategic vision. This may include managing curriculum, wellbeing, staff development, or other areas critical to the school's success.
