Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world's largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you're joining a very unique team As a team member, you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Quality Assurance /Quality Control Coordinator to join Lynas Rare Earths. This role will report quality exceptions, escalate and drive actions for improvement. This is a 2 years Fixed Term contract, FIFO position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on an 2/1 roster.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:

- Ensure all construction works comply to technical specifications, scopes of work and drawings
- Provide technical advice and assistance to the Project construction team on all quality related activities
- Undertake daily inspections (covering Civils, Structural, SMP) to ensure services provided by project construction team meet requirements
- Ensure all Non-Conforming products, services and activities are accurately recorded and work with project construction team to ensure timely close out
- Report quality exceptions, escalate and drive actions for improvement.
- Perform relevant material inspections in accordance with specifications, ensure OSD’s are recorded and progressed
- Monitor the implementation of the approved Project Management Plans.
- Monitor all quality related activities on the project.
- Recommend and/or implement improvements when required.

Requirements for the role
- 10 years’ experience in QA/QC Inspection in the Resources/mining and or construction Industry
- Relevant Trade or tertiary qualifications
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- Appropriate QA/QC qualifications, including but not limited to:

- NACE Level 11 and equivalent (Paint Inspection),
- Welding Inspection Certification (CSWIP 3.1)
- Lead Auditor ISO 9001
- Ability to solve problems with many variables and unique situations
- Proven conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A pro-active attitude
