Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world's largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you're joining a very unique team As a team member, you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Quality Assurance /Quality Control Coordinator to join Lynas Rare Earths. This role will report quality exceptions, escalate and drive actions for improvement. This is an 18 month Fixed Term contract, FIFO position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on a 2/1 roster.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:

- Exercise your practical discipline trade, specialist expertise and knowledge of site construction related quality assurance across earthworks, concrete, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls activities on site (and in fabrication workshops where required).
- Verify that Contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and monitor Contractor documentation submittals.
- Verify that quality-related site & fabrication activities are in accordance with the applicable specifications, codes and standards.
- Report quality exceptions, escalate and drive actions for improvement.
- Support the Construction Management team in developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and reviewing the Project Management System
- Preparation of QA/QC documentation plus control and supervision of all amendments and revisions.
- Control and the distribution of all the QA/QC documentation including to site Contractors/Sub-Contractors, as relevant to their scope.
- Support the implementation of the QA/QC management system at project site.
- Interface with and input into the Completions & commissioning management system.
- Monitor quality related activities on the project.
- Perform internal and external audits on behalf of the project as per Project Assurance Schedule
- Attend pre-bid meetings (as required) and coordinate all project QA/QC requirements with the project bidders.
- Monitor the implementation of the approved QA/QC Plan/s.
- Monitor the disposition of issued non-conformance reports.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system.
- Recommend and/or implement improvements when required.
- Attend any specific or ad-hoc client quality management meetings.
- Coordinate with the site Construction Team on all quality issues.
- Monitor and report on the Project Quality KPIs and other as required.
- Work with and support the HSSE Superintendent on site.

Requirements for the role
- 10 years’ experience in QA/QC coordination and inspection in the Resources Industry
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- Appropriate trade, specialist, degree and/or industrial quality control qualifications
- Ability to solve problems with many variables and unique situations
- Proven conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experienced in report writing for internal cascade and management level
- A pro-active attitude
