**We are seeking a director for a small centre (61 enrollments) which caters for children from the ages of 0 - 6 years old.**

Darebin Childcare and Kindergarten (DCC&K) is a leading not for profit, community-run childcare and kindergarten provider that takes pride in providing a caring and positive service for children, their families and the wider community. DCC&K has two early years services.

We are now seeking a Director/Centre Manager for their Preston location. We are looking for a true leader within the childcare space that can naturally lead and guide a team with compassion, while driving success to support the growth of the center and team.

**Responsibilities of the Role**
- Oversee and lead the operations of the service, including management, administration, staffing, and ensuring legislative requirements are met
- Support and mentor a highly-motivated team, with the ability to successfully enhance capability
- Build supportive and meaningful relationships inclusive of children, families, and team members with compassion and care
- Develop and initiate comprehensive education plans in line with national quality standards
- Champion health and safety requirements, ensuring that health and safety for children and families comes first
- Identify and engage with external stakeholders and contractors
- Identify growth opportunities for the service

To be successful in this role, you will have previously worked in a similar role with leadership experience within a childcare environment, a strong drive to elevate an already exceptional center, and a passion for community-first values.

**About You**
- A relevant Degree or 3-4 years in Early Childhood Education qualification, or an AQF Advanced Diploma, or recognised equivalent
- Have a background in childcare, with a proven track record in leading a team
- Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Solutions focused and well-developed problem solving skills
- Working with Children's Check
- National Police Check
- Child Protection Certification CHCPRT001
- First Aid Certificate HLTAID004
- Experience in writing contracts and engaging contractors
- Prior experience in writing grants is highly desired
