Centre: Goodstart Preston Regent Street

Employment Type: Casual across 5 days Monday to Friday

Pay: $ $ 37.05 Per Hour

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Maintain a high standard of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling, and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
• Work a part-time roster of 30 hours per week spread across 5 weekdays

About Goodstart Preston Regent Street:

• Established 99 place centre, situated in a prime location near High Street Preston and within walking distance of Regent Railway Station
• Our centre is a warm and friendly place where we provide children with a diverse range of cultural experiences and encourage an inclusive environment
• We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability and are visited monthly by sustainable program 'Lil Sprouts'

You'll need:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check
