**Key duties and responsibilities**:
The Domestic and Family Violence Child Protection Practitioner key responsibilities are:
- Participate in and provide expert child protection advice and guidance in all High Risk Team meetings, including emergency or unplanned meetings in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, statutory responsibilities, departmental objectives and current trends. Provide expert advice and support to the High Risk Team members to understand their roles and responsibilities in ensuring vulnerable children and young people are protected from harm and to make confident and informed decisions in accordance with the Child Protection Act 1999 and the Child Protection Guide about reporting to Child Safety or referring families to support services. Contribute productively as Child Safety's coordination point for high risk cases and ensure actions identified at the High Risk Team meeting are, where applicable, implemented by Child Safety in a timely way. Report back on actions taken by Child Safety where applicable. Establish and maintain productive multiagency working relationships that promote collaboration, integrated responses to domestic and family violence cases on the high risk Team and a shared responsibility for improving the safety of victims and where applicable, their children and holding perpetrators to account. Contribute to the development and review of frameworks, operational guidelines and supporting professional tools underpinning the integrated service response including high risk teams and support implementation. Manage the sharing and recording of information relating to high risk cases with partner agencies, both government and non-government, in accordance with relevant legislation, supporting guidelines and resources. Support the implementation of the Domestic and Family Violence Integrated Response Trial and High Risk Team. Participate and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, training and professional development to promote contemporary best practice in both child protection and domestic and family violence prevention.
