**About Business Services and Digital Workplace Technology**
Business Services provides a full range of class leading information technology, facilities management, finance, HR and health and safety services to all operating entities of the University.
The Digital Workplace Technology team within Business Services is positioned to deliver an industry leading experience for staff and students with a key focus on designing, implementing, supporting and transforming core platform capabilities across our Windows, Mac, Linux, Citrix, Audio Visual, M365 and Zoom environments.
The Digital Workplace Technology Team has a vision and associated roadmap that provides a simple and seamless end user experience across both the virtual and remote office environments. We are passionate about ensuring our staff and students can connect, communicate and collaborate with one another through their choice of; managed device, location and time.
**About the Role**
In this role you will be responsible for the design of key Digital Workplace Technology solutions across Client Computing, Collaboration Applications and Audio-Visual Endpoints with a drive to meet key business and end user needs.
Working within Enterprise Architecture frameworks you will ensure solutions are designed with a core focus on alignment to our IT strategy, whilst maintaining a holistic view of the evolving Digital Workplace ecosystem and associated end user experience.
You will be involved in evaluating and reviewing current solutions and associated implementations to ensure business and user needs continue to be met. An understanding of information architecture, user experience, integration, IT infrastructure, automation, cyber security, performance and scalability will guide your thinking to solution design.
You will ensure that the underpinning technology standards across Digital Workplace offerings are concise, documented and understood by vendors, suppliers, product owners, support teams and broader IT domains in both lifecycle management and transformation of products and services.
**About You**
- An in-depth understanding of what the Digital Workplace is, how it is set up, what technologies it comprised of, and how associated solutions should be designed and subsequently implemented.
- Familiarity and understanding of solution design and architecture frameworks combined with set standards to ensure the needs of business and end users are met.
- Enjoy variety and working across a mix of strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives where solution design considerations are needed.
- Curious and creative with a growth mindset for our current suite of platforms by keeping up with innovations and opportunities that have the potential to transform Digital Workplace experience for our staff and students.
- You will enjoy being collaborative: the university is a large complex organization with a multi-sourced services environment, so at times you will need to work closely with other technical service owners and product owners.
Education/Qualification
- Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
- Certification from public cloud service providers and/or previous experience in designing, evaluating, and building Digital Workplace Technology designs advantageous.
- Microsoft certifications advantageous and/or previous experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and Zoom required.
Technical Skills/Experience
- Experience in designing Digital Workplace solutions and standards across 3 key pillars; Client Computing (MacOS, Windows, Linux, Citrix), Collaboration Applications (M365 and Zoom) and Audio-Visual Endpoints (Crestron Flex, NVX and Scala).
