The Coordinator Infrastructure & Fleet Maintenance position has responsibility for leading an efficient, cost-effective and community centred approach to service provision of fleet management, public asset maintenance, engineering services and key member in the capital/renewal program. The role impacts on all Darebin residents and interacts with other Council departments.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Manager Operations & Waste, the position has responsibility for developing and implementing “whole of life asset programs”, while completing critical Council service delivery functions, maximising the outcomes of the infrastructure and fleet maintenance Operations unit to Council, customers and the community. This role impacts multiple areas within the organisation and the broader community.

The key objective of the position are:

- Build the department’s culture, performance and capacity for integration, collaboration and communication both internally and externally
- Plan, manage and monitor relevant program budgets in line with agreed targets and ensure the effective use of Council resources
- Ensure that direct reports have an effective work plan, and a clear and complete understanding of their role and relevant context
- Coordinate all infrastructure operations services, and facilitate maintenance all council’s assets across the Darebin municipality
- Provide regular reports to the Manager Operations and Waste on the performance of the team against targets set in Service Plans, Annual Budgets, Customer Service Charters and Asset Management Plans
- Oversee the delivery of the fleet operations and management to provide and administers best practice frameworks, systems and processes for the development and integration of Council’s strategies
- Oversee a Business Analytics and Reporting program that ensures a best practice performance reporting framework is in place, and which identifies, leads, advises and supports improvements to performance reporting across the organisation

**Skills & Experience**
- A tertiary qualification with an infrastructure and fleet operations, (or related discipline) and several years relevant experience
- Outstanding track record in leading significant change, cultural transformation and innovation at an organisational or major function level
- Outstanding people management skills including proven ability to facilitate employee development, model expected behaviours, and align selection with organisational goals and values
- Extensive experience in managing complex service and program delivery with significant resource demands and community expectations
- Exemplary financial management, strategic planning and advocacy skills
