**Your new company**
This department is based in a freshly refurbished building in the centre of Canberra, and which work on the policy and legislation towards on the development and protection of the future of Australia. Due to an exciting expansion, this Federal Government department is seeking multiple APS5-EL1 Policy, Program and Data Analysts to join their division. The objective of this team is to oversee policy, funding, and programs, with a focus on upskilling and driving innovation which also engages in multiagency data collection.

**Your new role**
You’ll have the opportunity to join a dynamic division to foster engagement and drive outcomes for the Australian community. Playing an active role in preparing documentation guidelines, instructions, advice and other operational policy artefacts this is an opportunity not to be missed. Depending on your experience, your duties could include, but are not limited to:

- Managing governance and secretariat functions capabilities
- Supporting the development of high priority policies and drafting documents to support relevant education legislation
- Responding to requests (including data requests) to assist with policy and costing decisions
- Project and program management work to support delivery

As you will be engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, well-developed communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships whilst building rapport and trust, is a must.

**What you'll need to succeed**
You’re extensive Federal Government experience across a range of roles will allow you to succeed in this area. A keen interest in learning and expanding your skill set will within a fast-moving program, project and data position will be rewarded with an exciting new potion. Demonstrated ability in the below will be looked upon highly:

- High level conceptual skills and the ability to understand complex problems, develop evidence-based solutions and communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Proficient use of data, including the capability to undertake research and analysis
- Self-motivation, leadership skills, consistent with the ability to supervise small teams
- Excellent communication skills to ensure impact in both written products and oral presentations
- Great negotiation skills to drive forward agendas, while building lasting relationships with all stakeholders

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
