**RESERVATIONS AGENT (FULL TIME) | MERCURE GOLD COAST RESORT**

A 292-room hotel, spanning over 3.5 hectares with significant food & beverage operations, two resort pools and extensive conference facilities, Mercure Gold Coast Resort is an oasis located amongst expansive gardens on the Gold Coast.

We have the opportunity for a proactive and dynamic **Reservations Agent** to join our experienced Reservations team as our business grows. This is a Full Time opportunity.

**Job Description**:
**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:

- Establish a strong working relationship with our guests and clients.
- Accurately process both FIT and group bookings, including availability requests, confirmations, payment schedules, within the required timeframes.
- Establishing strong relationships and accuracy in addressing guest needs/requirements
- Monitor and report on market trends to assist the Director of Sales & Marketing and Revenue team.
- Produce reports and statistics as requested, including business turnaways and group forecasts.
- Assist with the management of payments, cancellations, rooming lists, and terms and conditions.
- In collaboration with the Reservations Manager, allocate hotel inventory with a special attention paid to group reservations.

**Qualifications**:
**YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE**:

- Desire to learn, develop and innovate in whatever you do.
- Strong attention to detail, highly organised, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for guest engagement, combined with a strong sales approach and passion for driving and generating business.
- Previous experience in Opera PMS preferred.
- Flexibility to working days/hours to suit business needs, including weekends.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to ‘think on your feet’.
- Previous experience with Group Reservations highly regarded.
