Our client is seeking to engage a Work Health and Safety Officer on a permanent, full-time basis.
**Details/ Requirements**:
The Work Health and Safety Officer works within the Human Resources team and will support the HR Advisor Safety & Risk Management in areas such as:
- WHS projects, protocols and procedures
- Implementing specific projects from the Strategic Safety Management Plan
- Providing advice to the business on matters pertaining to WHS
- Safety & risk management systems
- Workers compensation & injury management
- Supporting the safety committees by providing relevant information, agendas and minutes
**Resumes and covering letters will need to demonstrate highly developed**:
- Knowledge of current WHS laws and regulations applicable to local government
- Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Collaborative ability to co-ordinate and plan with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organisational, task prioritisation and time management skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Word, Excell, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
**Desired Outcomes**:
- C’ class driver licence
- Contruction Safety Induction Card (white card)
- National Police Clearance
- Experience in similar role
