Opportunity for an experienced WHS Officer to join a national ship-building defence company in Perth WA.

**Your new role**

This is a full-time, permanent role. As a critical member of the team, your responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Report and investigate incidents and hazards and coordinate corrective actions
- Coordinate all WHSE inductions and Right-To-Work requirements, including in other jurisdictions
- Represent the business as required at interested party consultative meetings
- Coordinate and conduct site WHSE inspections
- Assist in maintaining WHSE management and reporting systems
- Act as Project Safety Officer
- Promote a positive safety culture across the business

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- A Cert IV in Work Health & Safety with extensive experience (Diploma or higher desirable)
- Australian Citizenship
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHSE compliance
- Return-to-work Coordinator
- Lead Auditor - WHS
- Ability to work independently and communicate with stakeholders
- Ability to lead people to promote a positive culture that promotes high performance
- Ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
