About the Role
The team also manages interactions with external media for positive outcomes. The team are owners of Baptcare’s brand identity to ensure that it continues to remain relevant and promote what Baptcare stands for. As its leader, the Head of Communications and Brand will reimagine communications and brand to enhance the impact of Baptcare’s messages. They will also build the capability of team members through coaching and training and be the champion of communications and brand at Baptcare.
Key Duties
Format and implement the Communications and Brand strategy of Baptcare
Support the development of Communications plans across all segments and channels
Manage, support and coach Communication Advisers and Creative Team including reviewing and editing copy
Build stakeholder relationships with business areas (shared across the broader Communications team) and provide strategic advice to ensure the development of clear communications objectives and fit-for-purpose communications program.
Support internal stakeholders for communication materials, including preparation of speeches, briefing notes, summary of external reports (eg Royal Commission) and presentations that strongly demonstrate the foundation and values of the organisation, for the CEO, Executive Team and senior managers as required.
Coordinate the creation of content for distribution through internal channels, and external channels
Media monitoring and management where required on key issues affecting Baptcare, working collaboratively with our risk and operational teams.
Continue to refine Baptcare Brand materials and brand guidelines to ensure the Baptcare Brand is appropriately represented by all areas of Baptcare. This includes the development of tools, templates, and Brand library
About You
You are passionate about continuing to grow your career within Communications coming from a senior role. Solutions focused and up for making a difference, you align your approach to strategy to achieve organisational and divisional goals. You are a true business partner that instils trust in your stakeholders by demonstrating integrity and accountability.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you lead, collaborate with and support others, demonstrating respect in your day-to-day actions.
**You will ideally bring the following**:
Diploma/Degree qualification in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or Communications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in communications including internal and external communications experience
Excellent verbal and written communications including interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organisation and externally
Experience working within not-for-profit faith-based environment to ensure communications strategy messaging and implementation is strategy driven
Proven skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of internal communication tools, campaigns and resources which support communications within a multi business unit, multi-location business
Experience managing media requests and relationships, and ability to support reputation management strategies
