**What we’re looking for**:

**Your new role**:
Academic Officer is responsible for overseeing the operations of the College, with a strong focus on quality learning outcomes and targeted growth of the RTO in line with the College strategic objectives. This position holds an overall responsibility for the planning, development and delivery of a high care, academically rich experience for our students. Leading all staff to strive towards excellence to create and foster a positive culture for all staff and students.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Plan, produce, and oversee the content production and training materials.
- Collaborate with the team for new ideas and content strategies.
- Create schedule and calendar plans for content releases and updates based on ASQA requirements.
- Monitor student academic progress.
- Take ownership and responsibility for AGC courses, and evaluate and update courses and material for all assessment tools, on a regular basis.
- Maintain and organise the input of all data necessary for training delivery into the AGC student management system in an efficient and professional manner.
- Build strong relationships with host placement providers.
- Monitor and assess trainers' academic and industrial currency needs, which may include, but are not limited to, the trainer matrix and profile, professional development plan, and performance management plan.
- Coordinate the administration of placement opportunities and continuous improvement of the vocational placement process.
- Ensure adherence to education standards including RTO and CRICOS requirements.
- Participate in moderation/validation sessions as required and undertake relevant professional development sessions as per Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards.

- Ensure that day-to-day academic support is provided to the teaching staff to ensure high academic standards are maintained and to foster strong team spirit.
