We’re looking for a qualified healthcare professional that has current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and possess relevant post - registration qualifications in Respiratory Nursing with a minimum of three years' fulltime experience working in the clinical specialty; Someone with demonstrated knowledge and clinical experience in the assessment and management of respiratory patients health needs including psychosocial care; Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

The Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (Justice Health NSW) Integrated Care Service (ICS) supports systems to provide and integrated model of care for the patient journey from reception, through custody and into the community. The role of the Respiratory Nurse Coordinator is to, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary and Respiratory Care Team; coordinate external outpatient services, support, navigate, and coordinate the care of respiratory patients during custody and following release. The position provides support to Justice Health NSW clinicians to assist with the continuity of care, case management, transfer of care (ToC) into the community and post release follow up as required for respiratory patients and has responsibility and accountability for planning, development, implementation and evaluation of respiratory services to service planning and development. of ICS including the co-ordination and monitoring of service provision. The Respiratory Nurse Coordinator will work within Justice Health NSW and Ministry of Health policies, procedures and guidelines as well as Corrective Services NSW or Juvenile Justice NSW rules and regulations as set out in the relevant legislation.

- High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with demonstrated understanding of the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient diagnosed with respiratory conditions
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Demonstrated ability to provide information and education to patients, staff and carers;
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, to maintain competence and best practice in respiratory nursing;
- Current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to drive/travel state-wide as required;
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to NSW Health CORE Values.
