Community Support Worker

We are seeking multiple Support Workers to provide quality support and care to our continuously growing number of clients in our Home and Community Care Service.

**About you**

You are adaptable and resilient, have a positive and person-centered approach, qualified and motivated with experience in supporting participants with challenging behaviours. You will aid with all aspects of daily living, including meals, personal care, domestic duties, social and community participation and varying skill development activities.

This is a hands-on role, suitable for active individuals. Above all else, we seek team members who strive to develop genuine relationships with not only the people they support but also other staff members.

**Essential**

To be considered for this role the following credentials are essential:

- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Card within the ACT
- Both NDIS Online Modules (Orientation & Induction)
- National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months)
- Valid Australian Driver’s License
- Current Right to Work within Australia
- Covid-19 Booster Certificate
- Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance

The following certifications (or working towards) will be _highly regarded_:

- Min Cert III in Disability, Community Services or Individual Support, or similar
- Assist with Medication Certificate

**Desirable**
- Experience with working with people with complex behaviors is highly recommended including Autism & Mental Health.
- Experience with hygiene & dressing clients.
- Comfortable working with people with a range of disabilities.
- Ability to build and manage friendly relationships within a team environment.
- Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritise & work under pressure.
