Casual Disability Support Workers - Canberra, ACT

Valmar Support Services is a Not-for-Profit Organisation who thrives to provide high quality support services to people with disabilities, aged care services, community transport and supported employment.

We have current and potential vacancies for Independent Casual Disability Support Workers to provide care and support to people with disabilities in our Supported Group Accommodation Services in ACT.

Part of your role as a disability support worker will be to provide a range of support services that can include domestic assistance, personal care, community and social activities, as well as general support to our clients in their everyday living.

Successful applicants must be willing to undertake a NDIS Worker Screening Check, hold an Australian Driver's License, current First Aid Certificate and hold or undertaking Certificate III or IV in Disability or any related field. Importantly, you must possess well developed written and verbal communication skills, have a strong desire to enhance the life options of people with disabilities and to support and promote their individual needs and personal goals.

Successful applicant must also be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, per government public health directives.
