Build on a foundation of strong family values, over the past 50 years they have developed a brand that’s synonymous with high quality and exceptional customer service. _The company services the full spectrum of end users for their raw and value-added products, including the major retailers, takeaway food chains, and specialty shops both within Australia and across the Pacific Rim. To support their plans for continued process improvement and growth, they are now seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the team in the role of Operations Manager._

**The Position**:

- Monitor and deliver on all production KPI’s in line with the company’s financial plan;
- Manage production budgets and be accountable for the timely and cost effect delivery of production targets;
- Mentor, coach and develop key personnel within production operations to foster and develop and environment where high performance teams that add value to the business and strive for continuous improvement can flourish;
- Manage the engineering and maintenance functions to ensure optimum production performance to minimise downtime and increase efficiencies;
- Ensure production staff complying with QA, HACCP and GMP requirements and strive for continuous improvement in all areas and production activities;
- Develop and maintain consistent and accurate forecasting tools utilising the businesses information system platforms - SAP, CCC and Microsoft tools;
- Oversee and initiate capital projects related to operations and responsible for successful completion and achievement of ROI to expectations;
- Ensure product quality is of the highest standard and in accordance with product specifications.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 10 years’ exposure in a manufacturing/processing related role in FMCG or similar business;
- Exposure to the protein processing industry highly desirable;
- Proven management expertise in operations, logistics or supply chain environments essential;
- Formal tertiary or other qualifications in an operations/manufacturing related discipline;
- Proven capability to manage and deliver capital projects within agreed budgets and timelines an advantage;
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver process improvement projects in an automated production facility.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative team player;
- Excellent computer literacy skills;
- Sound technical and mechanical knowledge or understanding;
- Principle centred leadership skills with experience in the development of teams and individuals;
- Cross functional skills with high attention to detail;
- Ability to succeed and deliver best for business results in a highly dynamic environment.
