Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our operations in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of leadership experience in a State Manager or Operational Manager role within the transport industry. This role requires strong knowledge of subcontractor and company truck management, compliance, fatigue management, OH&S, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage state-wide transport operations.
  • Sales focus to support business growth
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transport efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and company truck operations.
  • Monitor and manage fatigue, OH&S, compliance and governance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Drive growth and operational excellence within the state.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a State Manager or Operational Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of subcontractor and company truck management.
  • In-depth understanding of compliance, fatigue management, OH&S, and governance.
  • Expertise in specialized oversized and open trailer transport.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful operational strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
