Our client is a technology focused end-to-end solution provider for the Airline Industry. They provide a variety of products for their customers including, but not limited to: In-Seat & USB Power, Wireless Entertainment, Overhead Entertainment, Cabin Management Systems, and In-Seat Video Players. **As the Hardware Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include**:

- Being accountable for Hardware architecture, requirement definition and solution management.
- Overseeing hardware verification and validation activities, including Functional design validation, Compliance - DO-160 / ABD100 / D6-36440(regulatory), Hardware Integration, acceptance testing and jig generation for mass production.
- Managing and improving the staged design process of hardware.
- Leading a team of electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Scoping and planning hardware and testing resources and budgets.
- Managing hardware design change management, cost control, and improvement.
- Producing hardware training and documentation materials.
- Representing the business within the Development Team.
- Providing input into product creation and requirements prioritization.
- Ensuring training and support for Engineers.

**To be successful in this role, you should have qualifications and experience**:

- As a Senior or Principal Engineer with full lifecycle detailed design experience. Previous Electricalexperience in design and testing for EMI and ENV compliance would be a bonus.
- Leading and developing staff.
- Using software for electrical and mechanical design such as Altium and Solidworks.
- Working in an Agile framework.
- Using project tracking software such as Jira and MS Project.
- Working in a cross functional development environment with Firmware and Software Development teams.
- Having commercial awareness is important.
