Job Overview

We are seeking a
field-based Network & Security Engineer
to support a key deployment project in Sydney, with a focus in Castle Hill & Sydney CBD area. This is a hands-on role involving the physical deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network and security solutions. You will be working directly with technologies from
Aruba, Cisco, and Fortinet
, with the chance to expand your skill set into the operational technology (OT) space.

Responsibilities

  • Rack, stack, and physically deploy network and security equipment at project sites.
  • Configure, implement, and troubleshoot network devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Deploy and manage solutions from Aruba, Cisco, and Fortinet.
  • Support the integration of operational technology systems into secure networks.
  • Work in the field across client environments, ensuring smooth deployment and reliable operations.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support during and post-deployment.

Must-Haves

  • Australian
    Citizen or Permanent Resident
    (due to project requirements).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba networking equipment.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls.
  • Comfortable with racking, stacking, cabling, and other field engineering tasks.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across both hardware and network connectivity.
  • Ability to work in a field-based environment and commute to Castle Hill as required.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Aruba Certified (ACMA/ACMP), or Fortinet NSE.
  • Exposure to operational technology (OT) networks.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent baseline security knowledge.
