Engagement and Communications Consultant

GHD is looking for our next superstar to join our dynamic **Engagement and Communication team at GHD **(Brisbane). This exciting and challenging position will provide you the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects in the water, energy, sustainability, and environment sectors.

As a GHD **consultant **you will:

- Write and edit a variety of communication collateral, for both traditional and non-traditional mediums (newsletters, fact sheets, social media)
- Coordinate community consultation activities
- Contribute to stakeholder and community engagement strategies, planning, program delivery, reviews, and evaluations
- Develop communication and engagement strategies, tools and tactics for projects and programs designed for various platforms and audiences
- Provide support at consultation activities and events, such as meetings with landowners and community groups
- Design and report on community engagement programs
- Design, deliver, and monitor digital and social media programs to support the stakeholder and community goals of projects

**What would you bring to the team?**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a communication role
- Tertiary qualifications in communication, public relations, or journalism is essential
- Excellent writing and editing skills, along with a flair for producing high quality content for a range of digital and traditional communication tools
- A passion for listening and engaging people to resolve complex problems
- An innovative and organised approach to finding solutions
- Ability to communicate complex information, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of best practice communication strategies and techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to talk to members of the community as well as other key stakeholders when required
- Previous exposure to infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- IAP2 Certification is highly desirable.
