**The Role**
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Information Management, the Information Officer advises department staff and engages with stakeholders on using departmental information systems. The officer focuses on regulatory compliance, manages information assets, and oversees system administration for the department's recordkeeping and business classification systems. By adhering to information management best practices and aligning with the department's Information Management strategy, they provide quality information management products and services.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 5 may include:
- Providing support for end users of MS Teams and Content Manager including taking calls, creating and responding to incidents and service requests using Service Now to achieve outcomes.
- Assisting with the maintenance of the department’s Castlepoint and Content Manager systems including importing and exporting information and quality assurance.
- Assisting with responding to Freedom of Information and official search requests, consulting with stakeholders across the department to meet required timeframes.
- Supporting the team by contributing to projects and ad hoc activities such as record disposal, advice and policy development, process improvement and mail services.
- Identifying information and records management opportunities and implementing solutions, including engaging with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and convey information management requirements.
- Supporting the implementation of the Information Management strategy change agenda for the department.
