**About the role**

This government agency is seeking an experienced Communications Lead to create and deliver internal communication and engagement strategies for the Information Technology branch, including campaigns, newsletters, publications, webpages, social content, and speeches

- Develop and deliver internal communication and engagement strategies and campaigns
- Create content for newsletters, publications, webpages, social content, and speeches
- Project manage virtual engagement activities such as online forums and livestreams
- Establish systems and processes for tracking and reporting on communication and engagement activities
- Provide strategic advice on managing stakeholder issues and concerns
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors to achieve outcomes for customers, employees, and communities
- Background in digital/tech and government is highly desirable.
- 7 years experience directly relating to creative writing, communication development and/or publishing, preferably in a project environment.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Able to express ideas and concepts clearly, effectively and with meaning, and to a variety of audiences.
- Enable effective communication across the business or function, encouraging constructive and open feedback.
- Executive influencing and relationship management.
