**Are you up for the challenge?**:
We are currently looking for an experienced **Environment and Sustainability Advisor** to join our Group Health, Sustainability, Climate (HSC) team.

Located in Brisbane, this position will see you supporting the delivery of environmental and sustainability programs of works related to the HSC strategy. Occasional travel will be required.

**About the Role**:

- Support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the environmental and sustainability management systems.
- Research and interpret standards, legislations, code of practice and rating tools to develop compliant, practical, and operationally relevant Environmental and Sustainability systems.
- Prepare program plans, reports, implementation and communication plans and other documentation relating to assigned environmental and sustainability programs.
- Support the development of training packages related to environmental and sustainability management systems.
- Assist in the delivery of Programs of Work related to the HSC Strategy as required.
- Assist in managing compliance with the National Greenhouse Energy Reporting (NGER).
- Assist in data analysis and reporting of environmental and sustainability performance in line with the Group HSC reporting requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of HSC data models to ensure data integrity.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal systems to track sustainability and carbon data (including Scope 1, 2 and 3).
- Provide technical advice (where required) to operations as it relates to Environmental and Sustainability systems.
- Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, and procedures.

**About You**:
This role will see you holding a degree qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or a related field. You must have considerable previous experience as an Environmental or Sustainability Practitioner within construction or heavy industry.

Other requirements:

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of environmental and sustainability principles, frameworks and standards, such as ISO 14001, ISO 26000 and GRI.
- Demonstrated understanding of environmental legislation on a state and federal level.
- Familiarity with the sustainability rating tools or schemes such as Infrastructure Sustainability, Green Star, NABERS, etc.
- Experience in the development and implementation of Environmental and Sustainability Management Systems
- Experience in developing and managing environment and sustainability data and reporting.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and quality, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
