**About the role**:
The General Manager Bids and Projects is responsible for the identification qualification and submission of tenders, grants, and business generating activities designed to support growth, and innovation, and to impact opportunities for the organisation. The role will explore domestic and international opportunities, as well as oversee a project management support function across other business units.
With a commercial focus and a propensity to drive new ideas, you will also be required to identify and engage with external strategic stakeholders and create new strategic partnerships. The role will require a degree of agility and a need to adapt to change quickly, whilst constantly striving for continuous improvement.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Expert knowledge of Government tendering and procurement practices ideally in Human Services
- Experience in identifying, developing, managing and winning complex multi-faceted government tender responses with a focus on commercial outcomes
- An understanding of diverse funding models relative to the employment services industry
- WHS, HR & relevant legislative requirements e.g., WHS, privacy, disability & other relevant legislation
- Experience analysing demographic data, market share, regional coverage, and financial information to decipher key information for tenders
- Extensive experience engaging with strategic partners such as government, community and corporate business in order to develop new commercial models through partnerships
- Experience managing feedback and bid reviews to support future submissions, with a continuous improvement mindset
- Exceptional research and copy writing skills
- High level analytical skills, real-time judgment capability and the capacity to assimilate new knowledge quickly
