**Position Information**:
Cronulla High School is a comprehensive, coeducational high school located in south-eastern Sydney, adjacent to Cronulla Beaches and part of the Sutherland Shire. Cronulla High School’s current enrolment of 1,250 students, has a dedicated and supporting school community committed to improving student learning outcomes. **Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Demonstrated success in teaching English (7-12) with the capacity to teach Extension 1 and/or Extension 2 English courses.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead staff through curriculum reform to successfully embed quality teaching, learning and assessment practices.
- Demonstrated capacity to be a visible and proactive school leader in the implementation of key initiatives which support the attainment of the school’s strategic directions
- Exemplary skills in leading and managing faculty staff of all levels of expertise, to enhance learning outcomes for all students.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
