Elicos English for Academic Purposes Teacher

We urgently need an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teacher, ideally with previous experience in teaching EAP at Upper Intermediate level. Experience teaching other courses in which academic literacy is a focus would also be beneficial (e.g. Cambridge B2 First, Cambridge C1 Advanced, IELTS or PTE.

Timetable - You will work 20 hours per week from 8:30am - 2:00pm Monday - Thursday. In addition to your core teaching hours, there are also opportunities to be involved in curriculum development, assessment design and moderation &validation of existing materials.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is goal-oriented, with good organizational skills, a creative approach to teaching, and sound knowledge of pedagogy.

As a minimum, we require a Bachelors degree and appropriate TESOL qualification. All teachers will need to submit original copies of qualifications and attend an interview.
- **Your new role**_

What you’ll be doing:

- Prepare and deliver dynamic face-to-face classes
- Provide our students with a supportive and friendly learning environment
- Complete basic administration tasks such as entering attendance, completing class diaries and attending teacher meetings.
- Ensure compliance with ASQA requirements in terms of report writing, delivering and grading assessments, etc.

This is a casual position based in Sydney CBD.

- Flexibility to provide regular casual relief in addition to any allocated shifts
