Transactional purchasing role

My client is a mining operator who are looking to source and retain the best talent. The role of Purchasing Officer is an immediate addition to the team and responsible for the processing the purchase orders on Pronto.

**You will be accountable for**:

- Ensure Purchasing orders comply to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with issues directly relation to suppliers/vendors, purchasing orders/requisitions or supply goods and services.
- Converting requisitions into purchase orders
- Selecting new suppliers and small tender management
- Regular review of expedient to ensure follow up of receipting and any goods return is undertaken.

**You will have**:

- Advanced ERP software skills (preferably PRONTO)
- Excellent knowledge of purchasing and inventory to allow you to hit the ground running.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ideally you will have a mining or heavy industrial background.
