**About us**

We are a tech-savvy team of Marine Engineers and Project Managers who enjoy helping our customers build capability through the provision of marine equipment and services.

Located in Henderson, **Marine Plant Systems** is a family-owned business that was established in 1996 to support the Royal Australian Navy’s Mine Hunter Program. Since that time, we have grown to support a wide variety of Australian and New Zealand shipbuilding initiatives within the defence, commercial and oil and gas industries. Our deliverables include sales, service and after-sales support of specialty marine equipment manufactured in Europe and the United States.

**About the role**

This is a unique and rare opportunity that will see you providing marine equipment and services to the maritime industry. You will work with our clients on live projects using evolving technologies that will see you grow into an expert in our equipment. Some of your duties will include:

- Supporting technical initiatives, such as start-up and commissioning of project equipment.
- Providing remote or on-site troubleshooting assistance for our valued clients.
- Assisting with creating, maintaining, and overseeing technical documentation systems.
- Assisting with the development of project plans.
- Monitoring project performance, reporting and escalating when needed.
- Assisting with establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, third parties, vendors and stakeholders.
- Supporting the sale of new equipment and processing spare parts orders.

**Your skills & experience**

You may be someone from an electrical, mechanical or marine background or perhaps have some ship fitting, building or repair experience within the industry. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has a passion for the maritime industry and for mechanical problem solving. To be successful, productive and happy in this role, you will possess:

- An excellent ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- A strong ability to show initiative, be proactive and think laterally.
- Experience in a technical service, sales or project support role.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness about the way you work.
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills incl. Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written, documentation and verbal communication skills.
- The right to work in Australia.
- A National Police Clearance.
- An ability to work flexible hours.
- A willingness to travel.
- _Maritime, mechanical or other relevant trade certificate (desirable)._
- _Project management skills (desirable)._
- _Current First Aid & CPR (desirable)._
- _Forklift certificate (desirable)._

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
