**About the Opportunity**

**Responsibilities**

The Workforce Planning Specialist will support ASC in establishing and maintaining medium and long-term workforce planning framework required for key programs of work, which includes but is not limited to the Sovereign Shipbuilding Talent Pool Program.

In collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders you will lead the process to undertake workforce supply modelling/gap analysis and identification of interventions to address the gap areas.

In addition, you will also be responsible for:

- Development of internal and external reports as well as briefing presentations on workforce supply modelling analysis.
- Utilisation of data derived from various sources to develop, influence decision making and report on performance measures for the SSTP Program, strategic priorities, talent decisions, and continuous business process improvements.
- Analysis of data to identify trends, create and maintain dashboards and monitor data integrity through analysis and audit.
- Researching internal and external market data to prepare benchmarks and report on relevant trends and best practices

**About you**

To succeed in this role, you will be a highly driven and motivated individual with the ability to think strategically and analytically. You will enjoy engaging with various stakeholders and have the ability to link data to people needs.

In addition, you will possess:

- A relevant qualification in Workforce or Data Analysis related Business, Engineering, Finance or similar.
- Extensive experience in a Workforce Planning role with a focus on both strategic and medium-term planning, ideally within a complex organisation facing rapid growth requirements.
- Demonstrated experience developing reporting and data analytics with a workforce planning focus.
- Ability to work with and where needed, influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of leading strategic planning thinking and developing processes and procedures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is highly desirable.
- High level of resilience and attention to detail.
