Hays has partnered an electricity provider based in Brisbane who is now seeking a Group Internal Audit Manager to join their team.

**Your new role**
The Group Manager Internal Audit provides and manages all specialist and professional internal audit services for the business and its subsidiaries, along with proactive assurance and advice to the Board, Audit and Risk Management Committee, Chief Executive Officer, and the Executive Leadership team on the performance of systems and risk management controls of the company.
Some of your core duties would include:

- Independent and objective leadership, strategy and direction audit and advisory services.
- Delivery of an effective and efficient, risk-based audit and advisory service
- Effective working relationships and open communications with the Board, CEO, management, and the financial services panel.
- Ensuring compliance with the relevant provisions and standards
- Developing and maintaining current strategies and annual plans that align with stakeholder expectations for all audit and advisory services.

**What you'll need to succeed**
Essential:

- CA or CPA or CIA qualified (or equivalent)
- Relevant experience (energy or mining preferred)
