Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you'll collaborate with internal teams and external providers, using data analytics and technology to uncover insights and optimise audit coverage. Duties include the below, but are not limited to:

  • Execute and lead internal audits in line with the annual Internal Audit Plan and IIA professional standards.
  • Collaborate with external service providers to deliver high quality audit outcomes.
  • Conduct financial, operational, IT/cyber, project, and compliance audits across various business units.
  • Evaluate internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Prepare clear, concise audit reports and working papers for review.
  • Identify and communicate audit findings, risks, and practical recommendations.
  • Manage and follow up on the implementation of audit actions and corrective measures.
  • Lead the verification process to ensure risk mitigation and closure of audit actions.
  • Act as the system expert for monitoring audit management actions and reporting.
  • Build trusted relationships across the business and promote the Internal Audit brand.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members including external service providers and support audit project management activities.
  • Travel to QLD based sites as required.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (BCom).
  • A professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in internal audit, preferably in an accounting firm.
  • Display great communication skills and be able to establish relationships with clients.
  • A sound knowledge of auditing standards, and risk management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Growth mindset as we continue to transform our Internal Audit A function in a supportive environment.
