**The Opportunity - Full Time**
The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for managing the Internal Audit function, including evolution and maintenance of the Internal Audit Framework, working with the General Manager Risk & Compliance to ensure audit methodologies and programs support and compliment the overall Risk Management Framework and strategy.
In addition, attend monthly Risk and Compliance Committee meetings to obtain directives and provide timely advice on the output of internal audits and where requested, present to Boards and other Committees as required.
As Internal Audit Manager you will also be responsible for leading the performance of operational audits in accordance with the Company's audit methodology and procedural requirements and have oversight and involvement in the appointment of other controls audits undertaken by the business.
**What are we looking for?**
- 5 years' experience in the financial services industry in an internal audit capacity and preferably life insurance experience
- CA or CPA qualification, or an equivalent international qualification
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to deliver results according to agreed plans
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Demonstrated ability to challenge preconceptions and ingrained thinking at all levels in an organisation
- Extensive skills and experience in analysis of system and procedural information and making relevant recommendations
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in attending and reporting to Audit or Risk Committees
- Confidence to present to senior management and board members in a formal setting and respond to their questions on the content and structure of the audits undertaken
- Highly developed analytical skills combined with an in-depth understanding of audit standards and the ability to think strategically
- Proven capacity to deal with multiple stakeholders and handle competing priorities
- Advanced Excel skills and/or experience in quantitative data analysis
- Capable of motivating, coaching, and leading others and managing complex matters
