The Internal Audit team provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve Great Southern Bank Group’s operations.

**A little bit about the role**

As the
**Internal Audit Manager** you will be responsible for leading the execution of the Internal Audit Plan and support the Head of Internal Audit in the development of the Internal Audit Strategy. You will lead risk based internal audit work including scoping, execution and delivery of audits and advisory assignments. You will work with senior stakeholders including Executives and Senior Leaders and at times support the Head of Audit in reporting to Board Audit Committees. You will lead and coach the Internal Audit team in completing audit work and support their career development.

**our key responsibilities include**
- Managing a team in the delivery of risk based internal audit work including scoping, execution and delivery of internal audits and advisory work.
- You mentor, coach and advise others, and represent Internal Audit in key Senior Management and Executive committees.
- You are a trusted business advisor, building strong working relationships with Executive, senior leaders and other stakeholders across our business, developing appropriate actions to mitigate identified risks and strengthen the reputation of our Brand.
- You work collaboratively with the Internal Audit team to complete risk and control assessments of key business processes and ensure internal controls are designed and operating effectively.
- You oversee the preparation and presentation of internal audit findings and reports to senior leaders and provide advice and assistance in developing appropriate actions to mitigate identified risks.
- You collaborate with co-source partners and external auditors on matters relating to audit work, and complete peer reviews of audit assignments.

**About your expertise**
- Experience in a similar Manager level role within the financial or professional services industry.
- Demonstrated people leadership skills, including effective people development, team leadership and an ability to motivate staff and effectively manage a team.
- Substantial experience in integrated auditing, data analytics and technical reviews with a refined working knowledge of project management frameworks and standards.
- Effective communication, reporting and presentation skills suitable for Board and Executive level stakeholders.
- Ability to engage, communicate and build support with senior business leaders and other key stakeholders.
