Our Global Program Delivery team manages a range of projects for our Aftermarket, Automotive, and Aviation Business Units, as well as internal research Innovation projects.
Based on our recent and anticipated growth, the Vice President, Global Program Delivery, is seeking a Portfolio Scheduler to work across all projects in order to:
- Assist Project Managers to establish and maintain accurate project schedules
- Create greater visibility of project Critical Paths
- Create greater visibility of project dependencies, including cross-project and external
- Integrate resource estimation and leveling
- Create and maintain a master schedule
- Identify scheduling efficiencies and risks at Project and Portfolio levels
- Standardise schedule formats and bring best practice to scheduling methods
The Portfolio Scheduler will report directly to the Vice President, Global Program Delivery, and will develop project schedules in MS Project Server.
This position is for an initial term of 12 months, with the possibility of extension or permanency.
The successful applicant will work closely with Project Managers and Program Directors to understand the complexity of new and ongoing projects, and to develop schedules that clearly identify Critical Paths, project dependencies, and resource requirements.
The ability to integrate Project Server schedules with Jira tasks will be highly regarded. The Portfolio Scheduler will meet on a regular basis with Project Managers to ensure that schedules are up to date, and will provide advice on scheduling best practice. A collaborative and respectful mindset, and ability to work with ambiguity, will be essential.
The Project Scheduler will assist the Vice President, Global Program Delivery to identify conflicts, risks, and opportunities at the portfolio level, and will contribute to reporting where required
About you
We value the breadth and depth of experience that our people bring to their work. We are seeking people with a good mix of technical competency and personal capability. Specifically, we are looking for people with:
- Training and/or certification in Project Management
- Master Scheduler or other project controls certification
- At least 3 years experience as Project/Portfolio Scheduler or Master Scheduler in a complex electronics development, software development, or research environment
- At least 3 years experience using Enterprise Project
- Experience integrating Jira tasks with Enterprise Project will be well regarded
- Knowledge/experience working with quality compliance frameworks (ASPICE or other) will be well regarded
- Proactive, respectful, and collaborative
- Flexible and able to work with ambiguity
- Organised and process oriented
- Possessing excellent communication skills
- Customer delivery and continuous improvement focus
