**Description**

As our new Business Continuity Specialist, you will provide an objective review and ensure successful implementation of our business continuity framework and plans in the event of disruption. This role reviews and reports upon the adequacy of Business Continuity Management practices, preparedness, and compliance to ISO 22301 and prudential standards.

You will be reviewing and making recommendations consistent with our business continuity management policies and procedures that enable target risk maturity via a consistent approach to scenario testing, business impact assessment, minimum requirements, interdependencies, and supplier plans including prioritisation of disaster recovery actions across RACQ.

This position delivers accurate and effective business continuity decision making, reporting and monitoring, and generates trust through technical expertise, pragmatism and forthrightness.

**About the role**:

- Contribute to providing advice, continuous improvement and coaching for business owners in identifying, assessing, and preparing for disruption risks.
- Promote the development and maturity of RACQ’s Business Continuity Management capability, consistent with prudential standards, RACQ Group Strategy and Risk Appetite Statement objectives.
- Role modelling positive risk management behaviours and contributing constructively to RACQ’s risk management culture and maturity.
- Coach, advise and support other business continuity functional staff, and the Group Risk and Compliance team.
- Support the preparation of business continuity reporting insights utilising consistent sources of data from the risk management information system, expert internal knowledge of first line strategies and results, and credible external information sources for relevant sectors and geographies

**About you**:

- Demonstrated experience in a business continuity role acquired in a complex, matrixed organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in business continuity management and disaster recovery combined with the expert ability to understand
risks inherent or emerging in a business.
- Experience establishing and maintaining business continuity consistent with prudential requirements and ISO 22301
- Knowledge of Australian regulatory environment, contemporary corporate governance and change drivers
- Demonstrated analytical skills, demonstrating the capability to
analyse and interpret complex information from abroad range of sources (locally and internationally) and to present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence, positively influencing risk behaviours throughout RACQ.
